BENI FOR THE WEEKEND

I've been waiting for Beni to release his song titled Maximus for a while now. I got it somewhere around a month ago and it's been playing on my iTunes quite frequently. It sounds a bit like something that Tiga might do. And oh yeah, don't be frightened by Sam Sparro on vocals - I think this is the only good song I've ever heard him being involved with.
The single is out on Kitsuné now or then you can go and get it here.

BURNS AND SKWEEE

I'm sure you all know a movie called The Warriors. Being a huge fan of the film, I got pretty excited when I noticed that Burns had a new video out which is basically a pretty clever edit of the movie. The song is called Teknique and the video includes old-school gang-bangers, roller skating, chicks dancing together and some fighting in a subway toilet so where can you go wrong? Burns has also made other cool stuff lately. A remix of The Bucketheads classic The Bomb is definitely worth mentioning.

We here at Sheikki Sheikki are big supporters of Skweee music. Couple of guys called Iacopo Patierno and David Giese have made a full-length documentary about the genre, and here we have a preview of it for your pleasure. It's already all over the web, but I'll post it anyway. Can't wait to see the whole film. You'll get a chance to see it in Turku too, so keep eyes open for it. We'll inform you about the date when we get to know it.
